Heineken: Market leader focuses on sustainability with e-trucks from STILL
A Partnership with the Leading Beer & Cider Producer
Heineken have a very thorough and vigorous process when selecting their working partners. In particular the MHE project for Tadcaster was very nearly a 12 month process from the beginning of our discussions to final project execution. The Heineken team were extremely detailed and professional and therefore expected the same standards from their chosen supplier.
STILL & Heineken
STILL, using their vast experience and knowledge in the Food & Drink Industry sector along with the Mission: Zero Emission campaign were able to demonstrate to Heineken that their E-truck products were extremely relevant to this particular application.
Indeed with Heineken & STILL’s shared ethos on reducing greenhouse gases and the ever growing environmental responsibilities, it made perfect sense to operate with market leading STILL E-trucks for the first time in Heineken UK history.
STILL supplied a new fleet of 20 electric RX 20/RX 60 & RX 70 Hybrid LPG Counterbalance trucks to the Tadcaster operation along with 6 Warehouse Stacker trucks. They also installed a new battery change area for STILL lateral battery exchange on the electric trucks.
Heineken Tadcaster were really excited to be the first brewery of all their sites to run electric forklifts, operating a fleet with “green credentials.” The extensive work carried out with STILL led to a 10% reduction of all forklift trucks on site due to the standardisation and flexibility of the attachments that STILL were able to offer Heineken. The STILL FleetManager access control system fitted on all of the counterbalance trucks has provided Heineken with a comprehensive suite of reports & telematics with alerts that help them monitor forklift behaviour and operator activities across the site. This will hopefully assist in reducing accidents, out of contract costs and downtime for the operation in the future. STILL are extremely proud of the relationship with Heineken Tadcaster and we look forward to working in partnership together for many more years.
